Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. The university has roots that go back to 1955 when Nanyang University was set up. Today, NTU has four colleges with 12 schools, and three autonomous entities, the National Institute of Education, the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and the Earth Observatory of Singapore. Next to upgrading the DSpace version from 1.4.2 to 1.5.2, @mire also implemented following customizations:
- SOAP webservices to consume and process Unicode data from NTU's Research Information Management System (implemented in .Net)
- Web services offering Persistent Link information to the Research Information Management System (RIMS)
- Improvements to the Accuracy and Effectiveness of DSpace Search Engine for Chinese articles
