K.U. Leuven's faculty of Business and Economics is a partner in the Nereus initiative. Since April 2003, Nereus has been developing innovative information services to connect existing essential research resources and to unlock new content from top economics faculties across Europe. In order to comply with Nereus guidelines, custom development was necessary to allow the Nereus metadata harvester, to access the faculty's metadata in the appropriate MODS (Metadata Object Description Schema) format.

@mire enables institutions to offer or reuse data from their (DSpace) repository, in a variety of other available standards.
